Visiting Teams are provided:

  • Water – 10 gal. coolers or drinking machines
  • Ice – Treatment and Ice Bags
  • Emergency Supplies – AED, splints, crutches

Treatment Hours:

Post injury therapy – before school and during lunch hours

 

Huntsville Athletics is pleased to be recognized as a Safe Sports School by the National Athletic Trainers Association.  In order to achieve Safe Sports School status, athletic progrms must do the following:

  • Create a comprehensive athletic health care administrative system
  • Provide or coordinate pre-participation physical examinations
  • Promote safe and appropriate practice and competition faciliities
  • Plan for selection, fit, function and proper maintenance of athletic equipment
  • Provide a permanent, appropriately equipped area to evaluate and treat injured ahtletes
  • Develop injury and illness prevention stategies, including protocols for environmental conditions
  • Provide or facilitate injury interventions
  • Create and rehearse venue-specific Emercgency Actions Plans
  • Provide or facilitate pschosocial consultation and nutrition counseling/educations
  • Educate athletes and parents about the potential benefits and risks in sports as well as their responsibilities
