Huntsville Baseball stole the lead late in the game in a 10-7 victory over Jacksonville on Wednesday.

The game was tied at seven with Huntsville batting in the top of the seventh with two outs. Christian Milum started the two out rally with a hit by pitch, followed by a Jacob Vonrosenberg walk. A misplayed pop fly by Jacksonville and a Cotton single would lead to two runs for the Hornets. Sophomore Hagan Harris got in on the fun with a line drive single on a 0-2 pitch to push the lead to three entering the bottom of the 7th inning.

Sophomore Luke Durham started the game on the mound for the Hornets. The righty went four innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out two and walking one.

Bun Shelly earned the win for the Hornets. Shelly allowed zero hits and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking zero. Mason Monjaras and Jackson Batten entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

The Hornets offensive attack was in full force throughout the game as they totaled 8 hits. Cody McLerran, Caleb Cotton, and Hagan Harris all collected multiple hits for Huntsville.

Huntsville continued to show off their speed on the base paths with seven stolen bags on the night.
