Lady Hornets lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to Klein on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Klein batting in the bottom of the fourth when the Lady Bearcats singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides with both pitchers racking up a combined 10 strike outs.
In the top of the second inning, Lady Hornets tied things up at one. An error scored one run for Lady Hornets.
Kylee Lehman took the loss for Lady Hornets. She surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one.
Kenley Strange led Lady Hornets with one hit in two at bats.
The Lady Hornets will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Shepherd to play in a tri-scrimmages, times TBA.
